I want to thank everyone participating in this. There is no right or wrong answers. Even though I am 100lbs over GVW, I KNOW that I am there. And I am thinking of ways to lose some of it.
I still think we can educate people without being rude. We can let people know that towing an 8000lb fifth wheel is not the same as towing an 8000lb travel trailer with their half ton.
Most of all, we should welcome everyone who wants to RV. And, if their tow vehicle is not optimal for what they wanted to tow, then we can help suggest something.
When I started here, I still had the mentality from towing 5k over with my dually. I have changed and do show concern, and that is why I weigh myself. But, I am not freaking for 100lbs.
