Then your son really needs to get the written and detailed permission of the landlord. Like I posted earlier, most landlords are not going to be happy with someone driving and parking on their lawns. Adding a parking pad in the back yard is not an improvement to most people. And every landlord knows that a promise from a tenant to repair any and all damages and return altered property to it's original state isn't worth the paper it is written on, if it was written down in the first place.
