Prevent tree sap from getting on fiberglass rv roof

The last couple of years I have camp hosted in Grand Teton National Park.  I park for about 5-6 months.  I have a class A motorhome with a fiberglass roof.  The cottonwood trees produce a sap that is very difficult to remove.  Isopropyl alcohol will remove it but it is very time consuming.  Was wondering if there is some type of material (like a vinyl wrap) I could put on the roof that could be removed when I leave.  Even if I only covered a portion of the roof. Bought a cover for my car but don't think would work on the RV since I am living in the RV.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Why not just throw a tarp on it, just big enough to cover the roof only, with a few bungee cords; and remove it when it’s time to leave?

Wouldn't a tarp cause issues with the rooftop AC and vents? Unless you built some sort of structure out of 2x4s or PVC. If it were me, I'd get some Tyvek house wrap, cut it in the outline to go around your AC and other roof penetrations, even cutting a smaller piece to fit over the AC and just hold it down with small rocks or whatever. Tyvek is cheap and just throw it away when you're done.
