I was surprised to see the portable units are not UL listed. Wondering the reason. Am I missing something? Brian

The OP is referring to EMS units such as the EMS-PT30X ... the SSP-30XL is not an EMS but a surge protector only with some ability to detect line errors but no ability to do anything about them. This may be the reason for the variance in UL rating. I wouldn't let that stop me though from buying the unit most suitable to my particular situation.
