Propane gauge
My gauge on my EMS panel for the propane tank #1 was reading empty light bright and 1/4 little less bright but on. Now it's reading full, all four lights lite up. I've never let it get this low before...

The "idiot" lights are a gas pressure measurement rather than a float. They are pretty much useless.
Check to see if there is a true float gauge on the actual tank.
The propane remote gauge operates off the float gauge on the tank. It is magnetic and usually fairly accurate.
