We bought ours out of our domicile state to get the best price and absolutely no problems getting any kind of warranty done as we traveled. You don't pay twice on taxes. You pay the difference between the two states.
Like someone said, if you're traveling and need something fixed you aren't going to drive back to your state to fix it and then continue on your trip. You get it fixed where you're at.
