Lowes again has Zamp inverters that they are blowing out. In the past I've bought an 800W & 1KW and they work great. While at Lowes I found a stack of 300W PSW on sale for $37.28 (Normal $149.13) ...

The surge capability would be another way they can cut costs, along with every other part they possibly can. I'm not saying it won't work out of the box, it's that really long period after it comes out of the box I'd be concerned about.
Great buy. Of course. Great product? Probably not so much.
