I agree, try to find a CG that caters to or has year round sites available. You will be legal, and have hook ups. You might even get a break if you do some work for the CG for a few hours a day. Fla. has volunteer workers in their state parks
and get a free site for working a few hours at the CG. I have never stayed in a CG up north in the winter, (nor do I intend to) but it does seem like it would be rather expensive to heat a unit when it does get as cold as it gets. Good luck and happy camping
