Question about sway and hitch set up

My shank/hitch head only allows one sway bar to be attached. I'm trying to find the most economical way to add a second sway bar. I'm going through the steps of getting my set up weighed and all that, but I'd still like to get a second bar. I only have one spot for the little ball and sway to be attached. Do I have to get a whole new hitch? Looking on etrailer has just made me more confused.
Thanks in advance

  • I agree. Something isn't right. I just found out I have airbags on my truck (just bought the truck about 6 weeks ago and never thought to look for them).
Like I said earlier, I will get weighed soon, but for now...

The bags were empty, so I put in 20psi for now as I'm leaving on Friday. It lifted up the bed a good inch or so. My trailer was pretty level with the truck, now I'm thinking I may need to adjust the hitch a notch down. Would this put more weight on the tounge? My gut tells me I don't have enough tounge weight. I put the spare in the front compartment under the bed to add weight up front. I also found that my tires were a bit under inflated.

    Thoughts?
  • If you need a second sway bar, maybe your WD hitch isn't set up right
  • I saw you have a 26BH if I were you I would look into weight distribution hitches with sway control. With a half ton Tundra this would make your towing experience even more pleasant.

  • I saw one of those hitches. Nott eally a WD hitch. You need to get a new hitch forvWD.
