Question about using Anderson levelers

I was all excited yesterday to find a pair of these curvy things at a thrift store for $6 each!

But then I got to thinking (in the middle of the night... as one does):

When I need to level my van, I usually need to raise two wheels, to DIFFERENT heights. easy to do with blocks. But how am I going to do it by myself, with the Andersons?

It seems like I would have to out one down, drive up on it a bit, then put the other one down. In the rain, late at night, after a long drive, with campers around me wishing I would hurry up, this sounds like a pain.

Is there another way? Am I missing something?
  • They were just a pain. The slipped alot, and DH wasn't comfortable riding over the top of them, which is how they say to take them out. It was also kind of difficult to get the exact height needed.

Mostly though, it was the slipping.

They are also heavier than the yellow plastic blocks.

Need all the carrying capacity possible for beer, El Zarco tequila, and Absolute. :B

For $12, won't hurt to try them. If you don't like them, throw em on CL for $40-50, and make a little cash.

Well you people are not very encouraging! What did you dislike about them?
  • We bought a set, and ended up selling them on CL for $60 for the pair. We just use the yellow plastic blocks.... Much easier.
  • This sort of leveller is great for trailers, not so much of motorhomes.
  • Hi Naio,

I bought a set. I gave them away. I'm back to using wood.
