Even at full hook up sites, I don't connect the stinky slinky until Im ready to drain. I want my tanks to get full before I drain them, so having them hooked up for four or five days, before I drain them is just something I don't see the need to do. Less chance of them getting damaged, when they just hang out there until drain time.
