Quick connect LP fitting won't work with standard gas grill?

My FW has a quick connect LP fitting for attaching a grill etc. I have a nice grill and a camp chef LP fire pit. Both can be attached directly to a bottle. I thought I would try getting the quick conn...

You need to remove the regulators from the grill and firepit as the quick connect on the RV is being regulated by the rigs regulator. But, you will need to put them back on if you wish to use them with a stand alone propane cylinder.
