- wa8yxmExplorer IIIWell, for the Weight Police types
Just wait till it's time to break camp and he returns that Small efficient Pick up to the rental place and returns with his regular tow vehicle.... Which (like many RV's) was bulit by FREIGHTLINER..
(Had one of those pull in next to me about a month ago.. Yup, the tow vehicle for folks who do not want to ask "Can my truck tow this" Of course it can.. And then some) - dodge_guyExplorer II

No kidding. :B Those guys use the whole road.
Well imagine if they had a crew cab long bed! - Chuck_thehammerExplorerStopping should NOT be a big problem... trailer should handle all of its own weight.
its the transmission that has the issues... second it's TV tires/axles. - mlts22Explorer IIAt an RV place I was looking around at, I saw someone with a trailer similar to mind (fully loaded, about 7000 pounds) attached to a V6 Toyota Tacoma. The headlights of the Tacoma were definitely angling up quite a bit.
I know I'm self-righteous about this, but I bought a rig well within my truck's weight capacity, and instead of using dry weight, used the GVWR of the trailer. Of course, the biggest regret I have was buying a half ton instead of a one ton... but the truck can pull (and more importantly stop) the trailer, and that is the important thing. - nineoaks2004ExplorerI saw a 32 ft 5er at a campground hooked to a 1/2 ton Nissan P /up with a V6. I asked him if maybe that was a little much for the P/Up and he replied that he has had no problem pulling it. I just wondered about
hills and stopping. But he left hooked up and pulling away from the campground. - romoreExplorer IINo kidding. :B Those guys use the whole road.
- 2lazy4UExplorerWhoever sold him that trailer was irresponsible and unethical. /s
And the Chinese guy reminds me of some of the truckers I saw around Ft. St. John up in Canada last summer with their big oil rigs. - phillygExplorer IISo I guess that's not the TV used to pull the FW into the CG?
