Quiet clock

I'm looking for a QUIET clock with a camping theme type face, with moving hands on there face. The one that came with the camper is just plain loud. Thank you
  • But what ever clock you like and take it apart and pull the second hand off. No ticking sound after yo do this easy trick.
  • Get a cheap clock. Remove the face plate and paint some trees or a campfire on it. Reassemble and enjoy. Don't get the clock with the bird sounds.
  • The loud ticking on battery operated wall clocks make me crazy too.

What I 'finally' figured out is you need to buy the one WITH OUT the hand that counts the seconds.
THAT is where the ticking is coming from not the actual clock.

Believe it or not Dollar Store has a great array of real nice different style clocks that do NOT have the second hand. Some Walmart's do also.

Buy one without the second hand and you will have a quiet clock!. :C
  • do a Google search for `quiet wall clock' and take your pick. The Google audience is much larger than this Forum's audience.
  • Tick, tick, tick helps put me to sleep. I focus on it, breath deep, count the ticks in my head and next thing I know, I'm asleep.

A quick search on the internet, and I found this. Don't know how noisy it is, but it's cute:

  • I bought a digital clock that sits on a shelf. I bought 3 of the analog clocks and ended up throwing them away.
  • I have an apt on my cell phone that is "Night Clock" (Nice Clock) that is an analog clock. I can adjust the size, brightness and color of the display. I need to charge it anyway, so I have it plugged into the AC charging port. I really like it. Oh BTW: i can add ticking sounds to help put me to sleep, but I don't any problems in that area

Lotsa luck, these analogue clocks are all the same. :( I hardly notice ours during the day but late at night it drives me nuts ... best solution I could come up with was to install a switch in the battery circuit so I can quickly turn the darned thing off when we're trying to sleep, without having to pull the battery.
