- Carolina_CruiseExplorerI manage a campground near a Nascar track and I use workampers to assist during the race weeks. It is different for each one. Some are paid for hours worked, some get the site for the month for helping one week, some get a site for the week and tickets to one of the races. This may not be the norm, but it works for me. It is not always easy work. I will say that there are jobs that pay minimum wage all around the tracks but most of the time there taken pretty quick. Some people come back year after year.
- Phil___StephieExplorerWe've worked Indianapolis and Talladega. Both were paid, above minimum wage, but don't remember the hourly rate. We worked campgrounds which you have a site and track credentials to get into the track.
Fun experience. - CaptPickyExplorerI'm a garage supervisor for the Kansas fire & Rescue Team at the Kansas Speedway. There are hundreds of jobs at a race track. Some are volunteers, some are paid and by paid I mean minimum wage. A lot of church organizations work the concessions and parking. You just need to contact your closest track.
- TeamfourExplorerI am a Sports Car Club of America Corner Worker (also have a National level racing license). I work races all the way from local sports car tracks up to the Petit LeMans 10 hour race at Road Atlanta. If you become a SCCA member, you can take a class to become a corner worker and then look for volunteer opportunities. You don't get paid but they do feed you well. Entry to races is free but it is a busy job so you don't get to relax much.
