We have a state route here in SoCal, (highway 86), that intersects Interstate 15 and borders the Salton Sea. The speed limit is 65mph for cars, and 55mph for vehicles that are towing. IF you are towing, and doing the 55mph limit, you Will get run off the road by EVERYBODY!
There are 5 signals, spaced about 3 miles apart from each other, and as such allow you to just barely get back up to cruise control speed, and NONE of them have crosswalk signs for reference as to when the light may change. So I look WAAY the HECK in front of me, and try to time my passing through the intersection on a fresh green, as opposed to a green light that has been on longer than a minute. Even so, as I get close to any of those 5 intersections, my left foot is hovering over the brake pedal, and my hand ready to lay on the horn. So far I've been fortunate, but there will be a day of reckoning, that I do not look forward to.
