We have a class A RV and the front captain chair area seemed like wasted space when we are camped. We needed a desk area for our online business we operate out of our RV. We got a 2.5' x 5' table at a thrift store and cut down the 2 front legs to fit into the cup holders on the dash cabinet. We took off the others 2 legs and put one of them in the back-center with a screw on attachment piece so we can sit down easier with the corner legs out of the way. I then stained it to match our other cabinets. We have both captain chairs facing the table so we can set up 2 computers and now we have a nice desk. We take the legs off and put the table on the bed when we travel. I think I got the idea from a magazine article a few years ago, but I am not sure which one.
