We are on the beach at Long Key state Park and yesterday a new rig pulled in beside us.
As they were setting up they let their dog run loose.
It ran around the beach, and then ran into the water.
Then the lady joined it, playing in the water.
The rules that are given out to everyone specifically state No dogs allowed on the beach or in the water.
Another rule states all dogs must be on a leash no longer then 6 feet.
Read the rules folks !

A general comment on many of the posts on this topic:
When did we as Americans turn into a bunch of tattletales, whiners and complainers running to or favorite Forum (our electronic Mommy) to air our self righteous views on the most inconsequential things?
I have been living overseas for almost 7-8 years and just returned a bit more than a year ago. Once back in the USA I found that this tendency is so much more pronounced than when I left.
Why this Gestapo-like fascination with enforcing the RULES on everyone? Why are we so concerned about everyone elses actions and business that have NO effect on us directly?
It seems that the more privileged we get in material ways and the more progressive our society becomes the greater the tendency for some among us to act in ways that are to my mind, more like Mao's Red Guard or Prison Snitches.
If it really bothered you so much why didnt you just having a polite word with the person at the scene? You might have found them actually nice people and the dog too....
As I read through this forum and others, this gutless response, this "stick your nose in everyone's business" mindset has completely taken over our old better natures. We were a much more "live and let live" society not that long ago...what has happened?
