Anyone have experience with installing the ReadyBrake on a 2013 Honda Fit?Thanks

I have one on my 2012 Fit I did not install it myself

I installed my own but on a 2008. I can't imagine too much engine/firewall difference between this an a new one, just body cosmetics. It was a bit of a challenge getting the hole drilled through the firewall, but I have both the brake, and the brake away hooked up. As Scott (ret. fire fighter) recommends, use a turnbuckle for fine adjustments on the cable. Any questions, feel free to pm me.

This always comes up and where the question should always be, as to whether or not it will hurt anything to have supplemental and break-away braking on the toad and the answer is an astounding, NO!

I have 2 toads so I opted for the RVi2 and it is really easy and has a small footprint. I just put the breakaway on my new toad. It is selling for $970 right now and has a tire monitor option which I have not invested in yet.

I looked at that and it does seem like a good solution, but if you install the break away cable you still must find a way through the firewall plus the cost is higher.

The RVi2 is a great solution for the Fit. Given the tight spaces under the hood, I opted for a nice, small brake-in-a box solution. Installation is fast and simple and it works.

I had a Roadmaster Brake master installed on my 2009 Fit, no problem. It has an air hose through the firewall. I believe 09 through 13 have the same drive train and engine layout. Good luck!

I'm in the North so I will try to find a local dealer and see what I can find out about installation.

I don't know where in CA you live but if you are in the Los Angeles area, there is a dealer in the San Fernando Valley. Maybe they could give you an idea on installation, call and ask. Good Luck.
