You need either a 7 pin to 6 pin or a 7 pin to 4 pin electrical cord to plug into the tail lights on the Yaris. You are getting either diodes or separate bulbs installed in the Yaris tail lights, right?
Kind of what I was asking. What else would I need?
And there is a Ready Brute cable that permanently attaches to the Yaris going from the brake pedal to the front of the car. That is what you attach the Ready Brute's surge brake to.
That cable should come with it, right? Like if you buy a ready brake by itself.
Also, I recommend the Ready Brute Breakaway brake. That is just another cable. The web site will have all the details.
They say the coiled safety cables come with it free. ($50 value)
And, while not NECESSARY, I really like the LED light installed in the MH dash that shows when the toad brakes are applied. It gives me confidence when going down steep grades that I am not burning out my car's brakes. However, I have it wired differently than they recommend. It is not wired to the Ready Brake. I installed a 12v relay on the car's 3rd brake light, and use that to activate my dash light. The dash light won't come on unless the car's brake pedal has been pulled enough to activate the car's brake lights.
Also free is a DL-300 monitoring system that mounts in the dash of the motorhome. That is what that is, correct?
Wondering how much it would cost to get the base plate, ready brake cabling and lights installed. There is a dealer about 30 minutes away that deals with Ready Brake. Might be worth a trip over there one day to talk with them about it. I do know that the base plate requires some modification to the front fascia. - tropical36Explorer

I thought this post was about Ready brake prices and where to get the bet price.
Well it is, but then you find out, that's there's more to it, when one simple question such as this is asked. I mean the OP didn't say what equipment he already has, so who knows?. Anyway, there's no such thing as too much information and sometimes things pop up that you never thought of and are glad to know. Happens with me all the time by opening up another train of thought. Just sayin...... - tropical36Explorer

The Readybrake or the Readybrute??? I got my Readybrake for the cost of shipping it to me from a fellow RVer on TiffinRVnetwork. Got my Readybrute towbar brand new on ebay for $499 plus $50 shipping.
You did good. Still I ordered the READYBRUTE/ELITE new and complete, along with the READYSTOP breakaway, a Demco baseplate along with some other accessories, including a COOLTECH wiring harness for the toad and well under $1500 total. - BobboExplorer IIYou need either a 7 pin to 6 pin or a 7 pin to 4 pin electrical cord to plug into the tail lights on the Yaris. That I can get a readybrute elite towbar for the $1080 price (shown on their website) and besides a base plate for my car, that is all I will need to tow my little 2000lb Toyota Yaris (can be towed 4 down)? This will include the braking as well? Any other items needed?
- LiltippyExplorerI have a Readybrute Elite, that is the 8,000 LB Readybrute tow bar and includes the Readybrake system. All installed and wired light on dash that show when the brake is applied.
Total for all was under $1,000. Best value of tow and brake systems.

Has anybody found the ready brake for less than $400 ?
Queens Carriage,
Well Sir, I'm not sure just how cheap you think you're going to get one but, $350-$400 is as cheap of a well working, well designed, auxiliary braking system as you're going to get, NEW!. The "Robot" ones like Even Brake, Brake Buddy and more, are considerably more expensive as in at a minimum of double if not triple that price.
We gave $300.00 at the Show in Quartzsite AZ a few years ago and it's been a flawless system. While the R/B system is a great system, the install instructions fall considerably shy of being practical and or looking aesthetically pleasing. Not to mention, the way I did it allows for seriously easier adjustment than those hideous "cable" clamps that R/B supplies you with.
I inserted a "Stainless steel turn buckle" in their place and that cable can now be adjusted in micro-seconds if and when needed. If and when you finally acquire a R/B, and would like a few tips on the installation, PM me and I'd be glad to send pics of my mods and how my system works. Mine is not connected to the brake pedal 24/7 as Ready Brake would have you do. It takes about 3 seconds to hook it up when getting ready to tow the toad.
Scott - BobboExplorer IIIt got hijacked. It happens.
- Queens_CarriageExplorerI thought this post was about Ready brake prices and where to get the bet price.
- BobboExplorer III prefer Blue Ox, but any of the major brands are good.
Go to each of the baseplate manufacturer websites and look at the installation instructions. Buy the one that looks the most secure.
