A few years ago, a friend and I bought very similar F150 supercrews. His had 3.55 gears and mine had 3.73. I consistently got better mileage, but it wasn't a lot better. I don't think changing rear gears is as simple as it once was, given the computers and such. Maybe you could trade the trailer for a smaller one?
