Despite what has been said here, you are advised by Dometic "NOT TO MOVE THE UNIT". You really have no choice but to await the repair in place by a mobile tech supplied by Dometic. If you tie it, strap it or whatever to secure it and then move it, you become liable for any damage that may incur to yourself, your unit or anybody else if it unfurls on the road.
This has been covered before on this and other forums when the recall was announced several weeks ago. I am surprised that your wait has been so long. Dometic has generally been pretty responsive to this matter.
Hang in there(no pun intended)and you will have a nice new motor for you awning.
