Recent Reviews on rvparkreviews.com are hilarious

In recent weeks, RVparkreviews.com has started posting all the one and done reviews from the past few months. This is a change from their previous policy of requiring 3 reviews before a review is posted. Many of these one off reviews are easy to find, just look for the one and two star reviews in the most recently posted section.
Some of them are unbelievable. One of my favorites posted today. A park in Nashville was bashed because it had changed ownership. The poster claimed they had been visiting for years. Now the new owners have the audacity to not know every returning guest by name. As a matter of fact, they don't even know what sites those returning guests prefer.
Apparently they new owners have a green thumb, however. In the span of one year the trees have grown to the point they block the roads, block satellite service etc. Overnight, the sites have gotten completely out of level, developed deep ruts and otherwise become virtually unusable. Bad new owners to say the least.
The reviewer is going to change their go to park in Nashville because of the ownership change. Sure hope their new park has psychic owners who know the names of everyone, even before they meet them.
This is a serious situation that needs to be addressed. Some people cannot accept change. Maybe there should be a law that parks cannot be sold without the permission of the previous guests.
  • I have reviewed many parks on RVParkreviews.com. I try to be honest in my review as I always check parks at that site that I might have interest in.

I completely skipped Los Angeles once as there were no parks with decent reviews. I just didn't want to deal with iffy reviews being true or not. So, I just kept on driving.

I have found that most of the comments on RVParkreviews.com are pretty much realistic and honest. It's pretty easy to see through the complainers and exaggerators.

    Safe travels,

  • Easy enough to pick out the reviews which are not worth paying attention too. They are the ones who have only posted a few reviews. They usually don't have much good to say. They often have not been around very much if you check where else they have reviewed.

RVPR is always first in line for CG research or second step when an area or particular CG has been selected. Once you sift through the minimum post whiners RVPR is the best for unbiased & non advertiser influenced reviews.

    Keep up the standard RVPR.

To the best of my understanding you don't need to stay in the park to post a review. As long as you post a relatively balanced review with a few observations about the park that will help your fellow Rvers and along with that bring up you reservation concerns and the review should go through.

You do not have to stay to post a review. One park we have frequented had a review given one star by a reviewer. The park is a large gated family oriented park (not a high end resort) that only allows registered guest inside for guest security and safety. Reviewer complained he was not allowed to cruise thru the park before registering and therefore he did not stay. Therefore one star.
  • Part of the problem is that there is no standard that we review by. We all have our methods. Some people give a bad review simply because of one item.

My method, every CG starts as a 10. One point or maybe 1/2 point deducted for every issue. Expensive for the CG standard? 1 point deducted. No WIFI or extra charge for WIFI in a CG where one would expect it? 1 point deducted. Low voltage at the post? 1 point deducted & so on. I always list why the review is what it is.

I don't grumble if satellite reception is poor. It is a CG. I expect trees. I don't grumble if a site is a little off level unless the CG calls itself a resort & charges what one expects at a 'resort'. I don't grumble if the office person is a little 'off'. Who knows what the person before me was like & besides, I only have to talk to the office only once, & briefly at that.

Give me what you advertise. Failure to do that will mean points are deducted for each item.

Is it possible the OP who owns an RV park had a few bad reviews on the rvparksreview website and is trying to even the score ?

This is about the stupidest post I've seen in a long time.
