The difference is in the red dye...which is added for the sole purpose of differentiating un-road-taxed offroad diesel from already-taxed "onroad" diesel.
The post I responded to had to do with who (if anyone) can lawfully use such un-road-taxed-fuel onroad. There are some who can, as evidenced by the link supplied to California rules...not to mention the earlier post by a Member with actual experience in this regard.
I'm not sure where the argument is here, but I'm willing to keep it up as long as you are! :@
