When you get filled at a propane bulk plant or from a delivery truck, they charge the road tax and it is on your invoice. I've been stopped and asked for my propane invoice. I politely told the officer that I didn't think I had to keep my invoices any more than I had to keep my gasoline receipts and he must have seen the logic there. Now I keep a semi-current invoice in the truck as I fill up at home. Electrics are tax exempt.
