Reese High Performance Dual Cam Sway Control system issue

Also called the Strait-Line System. My Cams are getting flat spots on them with a mushrooming affect with a bur protruding towards the bracket hangers. Not sure if this is something that happens...

Ditto on flipping the cams side to side, and marking the bars for left-right.
I also laid my belt sander on its side and smoothed out the surfaces where the bar rides in the cam. And contrary to advice, I wipe some motor oil on the contact surfaces.
