Don't waste your money on anything but 3M Reflective C2 DOT tape. I work at a trucking company, all other brands we have tried over the years will fail, delaminate, chalk, or just fall off within two years. The 3M Reflective C2 DOT tape is all we use now, will last 5 to 7 years, sticks to everything! As well as meets DOT C2 requirements for brightness and reflective angles. I got some from work and added a few 12" red pieces to the rear and rear sides of my frame, as well as some 12" white pieces to the front frame. I know it helps a lot to keep your visible at night. Just watch for the cheaply stuff you will be sorry.
checca, you may be correct but what,s done is done and if it lasts 3 to 5 years it will probably outlive my ownership. I don't know if the original tape was 3M or not but a lot of it is no longer orange and almost all of it is cracked.
In my former life, that of a City of LA employee, I know we used 3M and there are still a lot of signs made in the last foury or fifty years that still look good. And more that look like the stripes on my rig.
