REMOTE CONTROL 120VAC RECEPTACLE

This time of the year is a good time to locate a good remote control 120VAC receptacle... You always have a good need for one of these.

I got a couple from a local TRUE VALUE Hardware store here a couple of years back... ($10)

Very handy unit to have around the RV's

MIKE - I have a string of the 120VAC ROPE LIGHTS (LOWES) around the inside of my patio awning. This is neat to turn those on/off using the remote... My lighted sign post is also on this same circuit...

The ones I have are rated at 15Amps

We camp alot OFF-ROAD and when you hear a noise it is great to light up the place haha. I use these on a PSW INVERTER when OFF-ROAD...

  • We use one for all our outside lights, that way we can turn them off and on from inside the coach. Check sales on Christmas items right about Christmas or right after. Could be some good prices or discounts on Christmas lighting leftovers. And Yes, they are really nice to have around!
  • Thanks for the post and the link. I need one of them in my house.

    Does anyone remember these :

I had one of the early ones for use in my house on a standing light. It worked for years. It was actually quite handy. As a bonus everyone got a big kick out of it and their kids would play with it. The only problem was when I got the stereo to loud. It would start shutting the light on and off to the beat.

I was a lot younger then. lol :D
  • I dropped into Home Depot today, and got a remote control receptacle (2 outlets)for $10. They had a package with one remote and 3 receptacles (2 outlets each) for $20.
