Update:
Tires installed! Also picked up a Reese platform and ball with a 3 1/4" drop that puts me at the perfect towing level. Getting excited about this trip now. All we have left to do is grease the bearings and pack! (Picked up a new gun and some Lucas Red 'N Tacky for the grease job.)
FWIW, the spare had never been uncovered or used. It looked brand spanking new, but we went ahead and bought three anyway.
