Could it be RVers are just getting hurt by policies aimed at preventing homeless from voting for people/policy that might help them?
You state you don't vote in local elections. Is there anything other than lack of interest that prevents you voting in local elections? I'm not a fan of money from out of town buying ads about local issues. Voters that do not really live in the area.
Then there is the issue of claiming residence to avoid tax, then expecting to have a voice in choosing reps that spend tax money does not seem real proper to me

The question is why now? I am registered as an Independent in SD. That being so I don't vote in primaries. Don't vote in the local elections am only concerned with the the National elections. We have made it a point to be in our county of residents for when early voting begins though we have voted once by mail when we couldn't get there due to other commitments. I can't speak for others but we have been SD residents for the last 12 years and I believe our political views are similar to the majority of South Dakota residents in national policy. It bewilders me why these politicians want to disenfranchised their constituents.
