This really does bring up the bad part of rving for me. I go to relax, sightsee and enjoy life and ALWAYS respect my neighbors. Others go to push my (or anyone's) buttons with crazy rude behaviour . I've had good results going to management about late party's next to my rig (shut them down)and bad results (partyers we're friends of the owners so they refused to act). Confronting these drunken arrogant types in the right to carry states seems a bit crazy in itself. With what rving costs if I encounter these types too often I will likely hang it up but I know any form of travel has the same types out there. See them in airports all the time.
Dont give up on RV'ing, give up on parks and goofballs. I know everyone has different reasons, situations and amounts of time available to camp. Some pretty much have to go to a campground and it's not worth the time and effort to break into the dry camping or boondocking side of RV'ing. The best places we have been were found while boondocking. You may know that already but I'm just mentioning it because I have met people who only know about plugging in. That's basically how we all start because rv's are designed to be plugged in. The main challenge to unplugging is learning power management and developing an energy plan. We like sitting on top of a mesa with the closest neighbor 500 feet away and the lights of a distant town flickering down below. FOR FREE. :)
