Ripples in vinyl floor

Our TT came with two nice ripples in the bathroom floor. They're not easy to see unless I turn on the night-light as I have in this pic. I'm not thrilled about the process used to correct this and visually it doens't bother me but I am concerned about longevity. They are raised about the thickness of a credit card.
My question is, Does anyone have a long term experience with this kind of thing and will they eventually split or otherwise fail catastrophically if left as-is? If not, I would rather leave it alone.

  • No, not planks. This is the floor in our new Arctic Fox. I like the idea of just leaving the light off!
I know the fix involves slicing around the edge and gluing it down. I really dont want to do that (and I sure dont want a dealer doing it).
That's why I'm hoping I can just leave it as-is without worrying that someday it will split.

Thanks for the tip on Doug Mann. Is he one of their engineers or QC people?

  • I would call Doug Mann at NW see what input he might have. If no help see if you can at least find out who the OEM is and call them.

Did you consider leaving the light off?

I don't think that is vinyl planks. It is vinyl sheet laid on the flooring and looks like planks.
