There must be a psychiatric name for this.
Its common if you pay attention.
Yesterday I overshot the fuel pump a few feet so I had to back up.
Just then this other fellow pulls up behind as I was backing.
He immediately started shaking his head and acting very disturbed indeed. Even over exerting terribly on the gear shift.
Yet he parks gets out all smiles talking to the gas attendant like nothing happened... even tho seconds before he was in a rage.
So I'm thinking being in an automobile may enhance some part of the brain which releases something similar to the feeling of having a bigger ballsack.
Yeah, there is some type of complex when a driver is operating a car. My take is that it's a physical exercise and the vehicle becomes an extension of the driver's perceived prowess. Interrupt that exercise or add an unexpected stimulus, and some drivers have a psychotic/neurotic break.
I drove for a living for a few years during the Winter. You soon have to get over other driver's bad behavior on the road or stop driving for a living. There are bad drivers everywhere. The cell phone has created a whole new class of inattentive, distracted driving. It is more pronounced in urban areas where cell phone use is more inimical.
As was stated, when towing an RV or driving a bigger RV, slow down and smell the roses. I also like that one about where we're all heading, to our own funerals. It's all about how you get there.
