road side

This is for roadside service plans bought as part of your auto/trailer insurance policy. Mine through Amica was only $30. They gave you a specific ph# to call, as opposed to just calling the claims dept. I did drop it and go back to GS.

huh? if the insurance company isn't involved in a service call...why would they be involved?...how could it be considered a claim? curious minds would like to know. :h

We've had Coach-Net for quite awhile, and a number of incidents including tows that would have cost up to $1000 out of pocket. One feature I particularly like with Coach-Net and have used a number of times, is the 24/7 tech support for the coach appliances. Our cost is about $120/year and well worth it in my opinion.

Years ago we had Good Sam's rebranded ERS plan when they were using Cross Country for their call center contractor and was not pleased with the service we received. When they switched their contract to the even lower rated Road America, we switched to Coach-Net. Now that Good Sam is using Allstate as their call center contractor, I'm comfortable in recommending them as a second choice.

Just a heads up on something to look for. I have Amica, cheap roadside service plan, problem was they would only pay up to $100 per call.

Definitely make sure they will tow both your truck AND trailer if disabled on the side of the road. If they do, then compare prices.

Just paid $79 a year for worldwide travel/trip insurance from them, which is extra to the Roadside. But it is suppose to help anywhere I go so we will see... hopefully not needed.

Will Geico pay to have the trailer towed to a campground if THE TRUCK breaks down?
Will Geico cover you off Paved highway?
Will Geico dispatch a mechanic to fix a problem with you trailer? (You pay for the service onsite)
