According to insurance company and NFPA statistics, about 75% of all vehicle fires, including motorized RV's, are engine/driveline related. I haven't seen any break out of gas versus diesel powered though. Are these fires common? In relation to the number of motorized RV's on the road, no. Do they happen? Obviously...
