- S-n-LExplorerWe have been towing our 2014 Cherokee since June 2014, over 10,000 miles behind the coach without a chip or scratch using the Roadmaster tow defender & Guardian.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIIWe've used a Protect-A-Tow with our toads for over 40,000 miles in tow without a scratch. It only takes a minute to hook up, and it also protects the cables and tow bar as well as keeping the back of the coach cleaner.
- jsmartExplorerWe just bought a new Ford C-Max. We use a Blue Ox rock guard which is a solid plastic/metal barrier that fits on the Blue Ox tow bar. Didn't go with the bra as we read about bras "rubbing" the paint off. However, you will find numerous products and just as many opinions on this site. Our product is working well for us so far (have had the car almost 9 months, with 3 long trips towing).
- DSDP_DonExplorerThe flap you linked to, with the split rubber strips, is one of the worse for kicking up rocks. The only thing worse are the skirt types. Over the years I found the least expensive and does as well as any other item is the vinyl bra. LeBra makes one for just about any car and they're about $80-$100. I usually hit the nose of my truck with some wax before a trip and the bra never leaves any marks. They're easy on and easy off.
- Hank85713ExplorerWell I dont know what type mh you have but ours is a 28 ft aspect. about a 10 ft overhang on the back so for anything to hit the windshield even the lights has a rough road to hoe. Like I said we did not have any issues except for rain splatter off the highways and nothing will stop that. I asked at different places about rock shields, bought and returned 1 to CW as the rear is too low to have one and I dont have a rear bumper to attach to. But really on most c's I have seen it does not seem to be an issue with the toweds. If ya really need 1 I have the roadmaster one that we dont use and could set ya up cheap if thats what you want. Will be up your way in a couple of months. Oldest lives up there.
- Not_a_ClueExplorerThis is what we use, not cheap, but good protection
Coastline - roadtriptoforevExplorerWe bought a new Hyundai too. They put a clear bra on it when we bought it. I'm more concerned with rock chips on wind shield or lights
- Hank85713ExplorerWe bought a new Hyundai as a towed, the rv came with one of the rock protector devices which when taken off take up ROOM. I considered going with one of the clear mask bra's but never got around to getting the stuff. Did finally find someone who knew how to install thus another cost. Anyhow we towed over 5000 miles last summer thru construction zones etc and had no issues. Window got chipped on the towed but it was while driving and a rock was flipped up. The rv has mud flaps that are about 6 inches off ground and a long rear over hang. My pickup I put long regular mud flaps on it and have had no issues with the TT we have either. Went to a truck stop and got the 12 inch wide chrome hangers to keep the flaps from sailing (SRW 1T). Now the towed does get dirty if in rain etc, but it will even with the skirts. Go to a rv place like a CW and see what most have for rock guards and when I looked most were set up for a CL A not a C.
- mowermechExplorerMy DEMCO parts catalog shows a KK2DF optional deflector that mounts on the tongue of the dolly. Give them a call.
