How about personal experience towing with a 1/2 ton load levelers and sway control that was setup by a professional shop many years ago. I ended up 180 rolled 360 and separated from trailer with it laying on the side. I had come down a long grade with a big sweeping corner trailer started to sway could not get it correct trailer past me on the right and am lucky to be here.
Towed the same trailer MANY times with a Dually no sway or leveling, rock solid. The 1/2 ton was the problem.
So yea I do have experience in this arena.
More personal experience. I investigated a bad rollover wreck a couple years ago. Ford F350 towing a Bobcat style wheeled loader. Going down a hill, lost control and flipped the truck. Plenty of truck, plenty of trailer. Driver has been towing this rig for years with no problems. Problem was that this particular time he loaded his Bobcat a little further to the rear, reducing tongue weight. Going down the hill he picked up a little speed, sway got worse and took over.
The one ton truck was NOT the problem in this equation. There are many moving parts when towing. Its not so easy to look at a picture and diagnose a "problem".
