I used to have a Garmin NUVI that I swore stood for "No via Interstate" as it seemed to go out of its way to route me off the interstate. One time heading up to Akron it routed me off the interstate and I was running parallel to the interstate. I could see it! but it wouldn't send me there. Since I had it set on shortest route I figured it must have been a couple feet shorter to stay off the interstate.
