George, I'm inclined to agree with you. My home dish (DirecTV, not under a cover) loses signal sometimes _before_ storms actually hit. I think it's the amount of moisture aloft more than the water on the dish. I'm guessing a coating like that on a dish cover won't do any harm but may not help much if any.
