Could be that lower fuel prices play an important role. Chuck

That was my thinking. With the job market recovering and the price of fuel at an almost acceptable rate, I would expect more people are buying RVs and camping more. When gas hit $4/gal we did not camp as much.

  • Hope the number of campgrounds grows with the number of RV's, especially in the popular Federal and State parks.
  • Wonder if this bodes good or bad. What would be nice is if the US market winds up similar to Europe's market or Australia's where good quality rigs are available at decent prices.

I'm glad that people are RV-ing again. I have noticed a trend with people to get away from the games like World of Warcraft and start getting out more, so maybe this might mean state/Federal/local governments see this and start throwing money on park upkeep or maybe even creating new areas to go visit.
  • Hmmm...RV related searches are trending upward on google? That's probably just from all of the research I did before I bought mine a couple months ago. I got a bit obsessive. :D
  • Yep, we are not the minority anymore. In general, definitely a change, I see it in Colorado, people getting away to the hills. No matter what there transportation.
