We are torn between these choices... Coating is cheaper, but they don't tear the old off to check for issues. It offers a lifetime warranty & they come to you. As we are FT, we can also stay in the unit when it is coated. Simple, but is it as good or better than a pvc replacement? Downsides are need for a motel for 5-6 days, need to remove slides & need to recaulk/ check. It has a 10-12 year warranty. A plus is that they could replace the bulb seals while the slides are removed. You experience with either of these is appreciated. Thanks!

Here is an alternative for you to research. At least one member on here gave them good reviews. My research on RV Aromor says that they come to you, but only take 2 days.good luck.

If you are talking about the truck bed Rhino product, it won't work well on an RV roof. It won't flex enough not to crack. I heard somewhere Rhino makes an RV product, but don't know for sure.

I am tremendously happy with My New Roof.

This is only about the 2 choices, please. RV armor is not RV flex armor. Aluminum is not for us with this rig. Any experience with either of the two original choices? Thanks!

RvRoof.Com has within the past year, started to franchise/license their roof replacement process to a few RV dealers around the country. The original site is in Florida. Like any major repair, it depends on the skill of the person(s) doing it. I'd be leery of having this done by a new licensee. Especially at an RV dealership who for the most part have enough difficulties fixing simple things. I don't need a technician learning how to replace a roof on my roof. I'd take a trip to Florida and get it done by the experts.

I have a standing seam aluminum roof. As far as I can tell, it has never leaked through the seams. The edges on the other hand....

About 12 years ago, a TT company offered an all aluminum roof as an option to the rubber roof material. A person I knew took the option but soon had problems with keeping the seams sealed due to the constant and significant expansion and contraction of the aluminum sheeting.

The aluminum Air Stream trailers are a totally different design and construction process.

Has anyone considered recovering the roof with
flat aluminum sheeting.

I recently covered a soft spot with a sheet of the same material
used for flashing and window trim.

Laid a bead of Dicor, placed screws about every four inches, looks great!

I do not think it would be a overwhelming task to cover the complete unit.

Of course, I am only 22 ft long!
