I'll try to be tactfull about this but it can be a touchy subject. (Pun intended)Is it just me or does it seem that RV camodes are made for just women and not men? I'm not overly indowed but it seems that my junk just doesn't seem to fit. It seems to touch unwanted places and/or water, unless I squat instead of sit. I'm sure that others must be encountering the same situation. Has anyone purchased a replacement camode to alleviate the problem? If so, what brand and model did you purchase.I know that this is going to take the brunt of a lot of jokes, but it is a serious enquiry.

I have observed the same. I have learned to tuck the nozzle-type appendage in slightly before sitting, and give thanks that it is our family toilet, and not a truck stop or worse.I suspect that some RVs have elongated toilets, but surely not in the price range I live in. Okay, I'll jump in with a serious answer!I think it has to do with just the right amount of water in the bowel. Too much water, things don't fit. Too little water, makes for messy bowel/improper flush.Simple answer, hope it helps!My Dometic 310 is much better than my old thetford.Jerry

We have a Theford Area II, which is an elongated porcelain toilet that works like the one at home. However, it is larger than the original Sealand and may not fit in some coaches with tiny toilet rooms. We have a large, open bathroom and space isn't a problem.

Ya, that's a tough one real men have to face constantly. Can be a horrible life altering bummer if you accidently catch your heel on the flush pedal and open it, realize that you had, and quick move your foot off the pedal. Everyone in the county will hear the high pitched very shrill noise you make!

I solved the problem by tying 2 real loose knots in the appendage and sitting only on one cheek and leaning at a 30-45 degree angle. Just clears that cold water!!!

The linkrd 3" or 4" spacer on the seat sure does look like it has a lot of merit though...

I'm going to look into that "junk elevator" but not for the reason of this post discussion. I'm tall, about 6'2" and long legged. I often feel off balance when trying to sit on our coach's commode because it is so low. I have already pulled a towel rack off the wall because I thought I was headed to the floor. This device raises the seat 5 1/2". Sounds like the answer.

I have a TC and FW. The FW has a normal size toilet and no problem. The TC not so much. I was joking with my son (35 years old) about how women get face lifts, I think I need to go in for a junk lift!
I agree its all in the proper amount of water and then its still dicey on those smaller toilets.

With having a fused hip, no way I can sit on any commode without spraying up. I have been using a urinal bottle for years, even on a handicapped commode.

You do know that if you hover, you splash more, right?
A way to solve the water problem is to use a bit of tp to line the bowl instead of water. Add more water after you stand.

We had to put a spacer under ours because it was too low. Raised the entire thing about 4". definitely worth it. Amazon sells toilet seat boosters that would alleviate some problems.

My Dometic 310 is tall and elongated pretty well. I'm a little hefty and still have to point the hose appendage into it when sitting down, but it's still a heck of a lot better than a lot of round home commodes.
