RV floor damage

Greydennyhawk, there are two dealerships in my area that had this happen. One of the units was brand new and the other was two years old.

Vinyl flooring has plasticizers, over time they evaporate out of the material leaving it brittle.

This is why I keep our RV just above freezing.

It is very common and been reported here many times.

It happens to all linoleum no matter the cost.
We redid the cottage with good quality flooring and it cracked a few years later. It's unheated for months at -30C.

I have had that cheap stuff crack and split in an apartment. I found I could literally scratch through it with a fingernail. Yank it out and replace.

Common in the far north.
When i had that happen i bought marine carpet and installed it over the floor. I figured if it got nasty looking it was cheap enough to simply tear it out and lay a new piece
