- Greydog_1ExplorerNext emergency is here. It's called Thanksgiving. Prices rising. On top of that is bad weather in East U.S. which brings on snow and ice roads. Gas prices rise.
Due to Black Friday on Thursday, more people driving to malls, Gas prices rise.
Any other excuses will be permitted to keep the theme of gas price rises. I was paying 3.07 once, now same station is 3.19 All within about 10 days. - SRTExplorerYea, we broke the $3.00 mark for regular gasoline. Three stations are at $2.99 a gallon. What a deal!! :B Now we wait for the next "emergency"......:R
- SRTExplorerWell, it looks like the attempt to jack up gasoline prices has failed. Many stations that went to $3.15 a gallon have dropped to $3.09 to $3.11. Gee, I wonder who did that......:R
- yr2017ExplorerCummins owns 50% of Westport (2001) specifically to build CNG engines from the ISB up to and including the ISX

I'm going to have one built - and with CNG at 1.50/gal less than diesel, I should be able to re-coup the money in three years. - tomman58ExplorerGolly bought diesel for $3.49 yippee
- AO_hitechExplorerNo, I think it is still Cummins:
http://www.cumminswestport.com/natural-gas-academy-videos/engines - Dick_AExplorerThe correct engine company is Cummins.
- LindsayRichardsExplorerThe Cummings Westport engine plant is making them as fast as possible. Volvo has announced they will be building them in their North Carolina plant. Now 3 companies are installing filling stations along the East West corridors.

Our local prices are only one or two pennies away from that magical $3.00 mark. By Thanksgiving we should be below that mark. Diesel, of course, is 50-60¢ a gallon more.
I am surprised diesel continues at a premium as many trucks move to natural gas.
Maybe it will take another 3 to 5 years for the long haul trucks to begin the switch in earnest. I believe it is mostly just local fleets for now.- SRTExplorerTo get back on topic......:R
