- Greydog_1ExplorerYep, thread is dead. All that remains is burial.
- tomman58ExplorerDrove by several gas stations today, stopped at one and bought 2 lottery tickets (rub off variety), gas prices were spotted , didn't notice any earth shattering change.
Having the Mod back sorta eliminates the lively chat of prior week. - packnratExplorerdue to ever changing pricing, all i can say is...

. - hbillsmithExplorerI didn't read the previous 402 pages of this topic so please excuse if this is a repeat of what's already been said.
If you have any kind of smartphone, you absolutely should get the free gasbuddy.com app. We use it all the time. Basically, it uses the phones GPS to know where you are and then displays the cheapest gas prices near you. If you prefer, you can enter the destination of where you think you want to stop for gas and it'll let you know were the best price is. It shows regular, mid-grade, premium and diesel.
I don't have anything to do with that software company, I'm just an RV'er and I highly, highly recommed this. You wonder how you ever got along without it.

Oh I'm not wishing away the years, but I do look forward to not having to work, a few more years, my youngest is off to college in Fairbanks in a few days, we'll be empty nesters for the first time.

Your comment about the weather, sounds like around the Seattle area, we never let a little rain get in our having fun. Truthfully, I've lived in Minnesota , Texas, Mississippi, Idaho, Alaska and now Washington and some of those places seemed just as wet as Seattle is reputed to be. Our summer here has been great. Only two days with precipitation since June, that's over 40 days of great weather.
And fuel prices are falling here too making travel a little easier. I still commute daily with an Hybrid Electric Vehicle of sorts, converted my Schwinn bicycle to a hub motor in the front wheel in 2009, I have 30,000 miles on my bike, I commute daily with it summer and winter. Saves me $8 a day if I had to drive my diesel truck. 17 miles each way to and from work.

All the best Tom, Hans - tomman58ExplorerAh, what a mid week outing! Met up with a bunch of Michigan folks that winter in Florida where we do. Cold and windy one day but we were happy as Michigan does that at times and with a huge campfire life was good (several cocktails didn't hurt either).
Diesel was about $3.89 most everywhere, some higher a few lower, heck 5 1/2 years ago it was 5 bucks so we are doing good.
A good time camping no matter the cost of fuel, heck made 1100.00 at the casino so nothing could be better.
Life is good, retired is better! - SRTExplorerGasoline prices have fallen to $3.47 at some stations. Prices run from $3.47 to $3.51. This is with oil prices still in the $103 to $108 range.
