- LindsayRichardsExplorerThey don't use any batteries now. The plant in Delaware is gone. Go to Google Fezzig. You don't read my links. It has also been in the news. 1,000 mpg, WOW. I am surely impressed. Strange, it was only a blog comment. You would think it would be all over the news. If it was on the internet, it must be true.

Fisker is now gone. No workers in USA and Norway is stopping. Too many fires in the battery. Justin Beiber (teen heartthrob) has one, but the taxpayers lost nearly half a BILLION dollars on this waste. I wish we would spend the money on research rather than on things doomed to fail. That is where success comes from.
From what I read I think they now use GM batteries (made in the USA) and the GM gas generator to supply electric when the batteries go down.
If you noticed from my page they are still doing their thing as of Aug 24th 2012! - FezziwigExplorer

I posted links before and you asked a statement that indicated you hadn't even looked. You admitted you didn't. Quoting some YoYo from a blog who said he got a 1,000 miles per gallon as an expert is pure silliness. Fisher got a huge DOE grant and wasted it (no jobs and no cars). They closed the plant and the battery operation went bankrupt and the scrapes were sold to China. These are facts and you dispute them. Have you invested in alternatives yet or are you waiting for the tax payers to do it for you? Dispute them with facts.
I paged back thru this thread to page 251 (8/18/20012) and couldn't find a post with a link regarding Fisker.
I also looked for Fisker news thru Google and couldn't find anything about failures such as you claim.
Please re-post whatever links you have. - LindsayRichardsExplorerOur Governor (Florida) has declared a state of emergency statewide due to Hurricane Issac and now the anti gouging laws are in affect. Fuel prices are included so stations are not allowed to raise prices until it is over. Looks like after tomorrow the only area affected will be the panhandle, so I don't think there will be any real shortage. I have heard that supplies are normal. Looks like it is going to be going into the midwest also and folks filling up their tanks usually causes some shortages.

You win Lindsey and moderator.
I know the feeling. I've posted comments with good citations and references and been ruthlessly censored simply because it didn't conform to the pro-oil politicals here at this blog. - cekkkExplorer

We are but the little guys, victims of the world we live in.
Victimology. Where has our fight gone?
We have little or no control of gas prices not the profits gathered therein.
See above. Poor, helpless us. Washington and Lincoln are rolling in their graves. - camperdaveExplorereverything I write here gets deleted. You win Lindsey and moderator. - LindsayRichardsExplorerSo you are claiming that Fisker didn't get a loan from the Dept of Energy now? The guy is a rarity as they have sold only 500 none of which was made in the US. Please tell us what investment you have made in renewable other than the miniscule unit that won't run a toaster. This same guy who said it is better than a Bently also claims to get 1,000 mpg. He too probaly gets all of his electricity from renewables tom. What you posted was a comment in a blog. This fact?
- FezziwigExplorerI don't know where this guy "LindsayRichards" gets his info since he never posts his references, or even if "LindsayRichards" actually exists or if he's the invention of some Oil Company PR Flak, but here's the testimonial of a guy who claims to be an actual Fisker owner:
http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7-57500084-48/fisker-karma-shows-concours-delegance-the-future/?part=rss&subj=cartech&tag=title... that burned was sabatage by the owner looking to sue to collect money (fact) and two other small instances were faulty wiring on a cooling fan being corrected now
The Karma was produced wit 100% private funds only and the DOE loan was for Fisker to retool the old Saturn plant in Deleware to produce the new "Atlantic" in the USA-this is progressing now
I have owned a Karma forfive months and it is the most phenomenol automobile I have ever owned which includes Bentley, Mercedez, Viper, Aston Martin
The new Atlantic at around $50,000-55,000 will also be a fantastic car--nothing on the road looks like a Fisker and nothing performs like it either--I am getting over 1000 (yes 1000)miles per gallon in town by recharging once each day and I am enjoying every minute of it These are the honest facts
