- DW reported gas has dropped below $4/gal for the first time in quite a while.
:R - Desert_CaptainExplorer IIIExcuse me, moderators, are you out there??? Sorry to wake you but would you please put this Mongoose and Cobra act out of business? The nonsense that this thread has degenerated down to is so far beneath the normal standards of this forum it defies all logic. Why do you allow a couple of members to hijack a thread for their own personal amusement and foolishness? :h
To just briefly return to the topic at hand... unleaded is down to $3.33 here in Tucson. :C - LindsayRichardsExplorerThe EPA has kept the entire Zone one (from LA South) off limits to drilling. The only offshore drilling all along the perimeter of the US is off LA, MS, and TX, over 90% of the US coast line is off limits. States like VA and Alaska are in the courts now trying to get this changed. There is a lot of oil in less than 500 feet of water and on dry land that is off limits. BP was in fact forced to drill in very dangerous places.
- SRTExplorerBetween the whining environmentalists and heavy handed EPA it is a wonder that the oil companies can drill on private land.
- SRTExplorerGas prices around here continue to slide down. Lowest stations are at $3.49 with the highest at $3.65. Diesel is running from $3.92 to $4.09. Gasoline prices are about the same as last December. Gee, maybe the prices will drop below $3.00 again (in my dreams :W).
- LindsayRichardsExplorerSaw §3.41 at TA in Western Al.
- John___AngelaExplorerJust rolled into Lethbridge from Montana. Gas 4.22 per US gallon. Diesel was more but didn't pay attention. Cheapest prices we saw on the trip from Palm Springs to Lethbridge was in Montana. Consistently below 3.50.
- LindsayRichardsExplorerI bought gasoline today for $3.46 in Foley, Al today. Shirt sleeve weather also.
- Desert_CaptainExplorer IIIRegular is selling for $3.33 in Tucson.

Oil companies make a lower profit than the Fortune 500 average...If you think they are making so much, they are publicly traded and you can bet your 401k on them. Your best weapon is to educate yourself and others.
Right... It doesn't take ANY WHERE NEAR $90 to "produce" a barrel of oil. Not even close. They are making a HUGE profit from oil. HUGE.
Being publicly traded doesn't mean I would share in the profits like "they" do.
