Something doesn't smell right here .... or at least smells real "sloppy" ... probably because the Affinity Group Inc. did indeed leave them separate for a long time, either intentionly to maximize margins or through lack of good business acumen.
Just because the President's Club at Camping World wasn't a benefit of Good Sam Club until recently doesn't mean Affinity was doing anything nefarious.
Companies often maintain multiple brand names with separate benefits for buying different brands. Nothing sinister about it.
