It's a no win situation. My wife is more concerned about how many days before our anniversary or her birthday that I buy the card, so that she knows that I didn't wait until the last minute. :S It has to be a Hallmark card too! Crossing out the words American Greetings on the back doesn't cut it, even after 38 years.
We always discuss what were going to do. She likes cruises, but we bought our new motor home to put some miles on it during retirement. We try to mix it up with a cruise every other year.
