My Mom once told me "if everyone thinks you're a problem, maybe you're a problem".
Perhaps the OP has so many issues with RV Parks, not because the the RV Parks' owners and staff are lousy, but because of the OP's own attitudes. From the OP's post, it sounds like he spends a lot of time worrying about how others do their jobs rather than going out and having fun. No disrespect, but I really think the OP is putting WAY TOO MUCH into something that doesn't really matter.
My post was not personal. It is not a list of my personal complaints. It IS a list of my observations over time. I have really no issues with RV Parks except those that are badly managed and treat their customers with disdain. In fact in my 138 RV Parks stays I have complained maybe once or twice about something and that was done civilly and politely.
And I have to smile at your assumptions, which are made by others too, about what I "worry about" and not going out to have fun. When actors go to see a play are they simply enjoying the play or are they dissecting the performance and directing too? Well it's like that if you have been a nearly lifelong businessman like me. Part of me while thoroughly enjoying myself is sizing up the business and looking at it with a critical eye. That is just human nature and I am willing to bet you do it in your profession too. And since I am a full timer I am not out to "Have Fun" every day. Some days I sit and read. And some I work on the trailer. Am I having fun then....oh usually not.
However I do witness a lot of dodgy business practice out there at many parks. And some very good ones too.
